I’ve made an account on platform ‘Grindr’. It’s intended for queer community for dating purposes. The problem becomes real at the moment when an ordinary conversation turns into a fetishization of the body which becomes an ‘object’ of conversation.

In his work BODY TALK, Luka Joksimovic uses the Grindr app as a tool of introspection, but also as a spatial map of sexual economy — a territory where the body is fragmented, catalogued, and encoded. The gaze no longer comes from the subject; it is exchanged, multiplied, and beyond control. Paul B. Preciado, in Pornotopia, argues that sexuality is no longer instinctive but technically produced and distributed. In this context, the digital torso becomes a fetish, and communication among users a chain of signs seeking not meaning, but effect.
